Going to the beach. “It’s not Summer until you get in the Lake!”, says Syd.
Something you might not now about her:
She speaks Hebrew because she went to Jewish grade school and Russian because she studied Languages and Literature in college.
If she could bring anyone to NoMI, who would it be and why:
She would bring Judy Contino, Chef and Owner of Bittersweet Bakery in Chicago, whose shop inspired Syd to pursue pastry. “She gave me my first kitchen job at 14, doing all the prep for the bakery,” Syd says. “I’d love to show her how far I’ve come in pastry.”
